Service Policy
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
Authorization to Perform Work
By approving an estimate or work order or signing a service form, the customer authorizes Premier Boat & RV to perform the approved services and repairs. Additional work will not be performed without customer authorization where reasonably practicable.
Estimates
All estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection and are estimates only, not guaranteed final prices. Additional problems may become apparent once components are removed, disassembled, tested, or further diagnosed. Parts pricing and availability may also change.
Diagnostic Charges
Diagnostic time is chargeable regardless of whether the customer proceeds with the recommended repair. Diagnostic work includes the technician's time required to inspect, test, troubleshoot, research, disassemble where necessary, and determine the probable cause of a concern.
Labour Charges
Labour is charged according to Premier Boat & RV's current labour rate or applicable flat-rate/service-package pricing. Labour time may include diagnosis, repair, installation, testing, setup, verification, and other work reasonably required to complete the authorized service.
Additional Work
If additional repairs are discovered, Premier Boat & RV will make reasonable efforts to obtain customer authorization before proceeding. The customer remains responsible for diagnostic and labour charges incurred in identifying the additional work, even if the additional repair is declined.
Parts and Special Orders
Parts required for repairs may require a deposit or full payment before ordering. Special-order, electrical, electronic, programmed, custom, or non-returnable parts may not be refundable once ordered, subject to applicable law and supplier return policies.
Customer-Supplied Parts
Premier Boat & RV may, at its discretion, install customer-supplied parts. No warranty is provided by Premier Boat & RV on customer-supplied parts. Additional labour resulting from incorrect, defective, incomplete, or incompatible customer-supplied parts will be charged to the customer. Labour to remove or replace a failed customer-supplied part is not covered.
Used or Aftermarket Parts
Where a customer requests or authorizes used, rebuilt, remanufactured, or aftermarket components, the customer acknowledges that their condition, lifespan, fit, and performance may differ from new OEM components. Warranty coverage will be limited to any warranty provided by the applicable supplier or manufacturer.
Workmanship Concerns & Opportunity to Repair
If a customer believes there is an issue with work performed by Premier Boat & RV, the customer must notify us promptly and provide us with a reasonable opportunity to inspect the unit and correct any workmanship-related issue.
Premier Boat & RV will not provide a refund or reimburse another repair facility's charges where the customer has not first provided Premier Boat & RV with a reasonable opportunity to inspect and remedy the concern.
Warranty consideration applies only to concerns directly related to the original work performed and does not cover unrelated failures, new problems, normal wear and tear, misuse, or subsequent alterations or repairs by another party.
No Guarantee That Diagnosis Will Identify Every Issue
Boats and RVs may have intermittent, concealed, electrical, mechanical, water-intrusion, or other issues that cannot always be duplicated during an inspection. Payment for diagnostic services is for the technician's time and expertise and does not guarantee that every intermittent or concealed problem will be identified during the initial visit.
Declined Repairs
If Premier Boat & RV recommends a repair or safety-related service and the customer declines it, the declined work will be documented. The customer accepts responsibility for operating, transporting, or using the unit without completing the recommended repair.
Safety-Related Concerns
Premier Boat & RV may decline to perform work, discontinue work, or recommend that a unit not be operated where our technicians identify a condition that may make the unit unsafe. The customer remains responsible for arranging appropriate transportation or towing where required.
Testing & Road/Water Testing
The customer authorizes Premier Boat & RV employees to operate, move, road-test, water-test, tow, launch, or otherwise test the customer's vehicle, RV, boat, or trailer when reasonably necessary to diagnose, repair, or verify the authorized work.
Additional charges may apply for extended testing, launching, retrieval, fuel, transportation, or multiple technicians where required.
Personal Property
Customers should remove valuables and personal belongings before leaving a unit for service. Premier Boat & RV is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property left inside a vehicle, RV, boat, trailer, or storage compartment except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Pre-Existing Damage
Premier Boat & RV may photograph or document the condition of a unit before, during, and after service. Premier Boat & RV is not responsible for pre-existing damage, deterioration, corrosion, rot, weathering, previously damaged components, or failures resulting from the age or condition of the unit.
Hidden or Seized Components
Older boats, RVs, trailers, and vehicles may contain corroded, seized, deteriorated, previously repaired, or inaccessible components. Additional labour required to remove seized fasteners, damaged components, corrosion, previous repairs, or unexpected obstructions will be chargeable.
Completion Dates
Any estimated completion date is an estimate only. Completion may be affected by parts availability, supplier delays, additional repairs, weather, technician availability, manufacturer information, third-party services, or other circumstances outside Premier Boat & RV's reasonable control.
Customer Communication
Customers are responsible for providing current contact information and responding to requests for repair authorization. Delays in authorization may affect the completion date and may result in the unit being removed from an active service bay until authorization is received.
Payment
All invoices must be paid in full before the unit is released, unless Premier Boat & RV has approved other arrangements in writing. Applicable taxes, parts, labour, shop supplies, disposal charges, subcontracted services, transportation, and other authorized charges will be added where applicable.
Unclaimed Units & Storage Charges
Customers are expected to pick up their unit promptly after being notified that service is complete or that the unit is ready for pickup. Storage charges may apply if a unit is not collected within the stated pickup period. Any storage charges and procedures relating to unclaimed property will be subject to applicable British Columbia law.
Manufacturer & Supplier Warranties
Parts warranties provided by manufacturers or suppliers are subject to their individual warranty terms. Warranty approval is not controlled by Premier Boat & RV. Labour, shipping, diagnostic, removal, installation, or transportation charges may not be covered by a manufacturer's parts warranty unless specifically authorized.
Insurance Claims
The customer remains responsible for all charges regardless of whether an insurer, extended-warranty company, manufacturer, or other third party has agreed or is expected to contribute toward the repair. Any amount not paid by a third party remains the customer's responsibility.
Environmental & Disposal Charges
Reasonable charges may apply for the handling and disposal of used oil, filters, fluids, batteries, hazardous materials, tires, or other waste generated during service.
Removed Parts
Removed or replaced parts may be disposed of unless the customer requests their return before the repair is completed. Certain parts may not be returnable where they are subject to core charges, warranty claims, environmental requirements, or supplier return requirements.
